Hy-Tek LTD Sports Software
Team Manager for Windows
Mindowseet Manager for W

Latest Upgrades Available from Hy-Tek as of May 4, 2008:

To download and install updates, start TM 4.0 or MM 2.0 and click on "Check for Updates" and follow instructions (a connection to the Internet required).

Problem: The TM or MM update does not occur and/or a time-out message is received.
Cause: Possible conflict with the firewall or anti-virus software on your computer.
Solution: There is an Alternate Method to obtain the latest update (or for your convenience, download the files from the JSL server below):

Alternative Method for Installing a Maintenance Update
Go to the Hy-Tek web site at www.hy-tekltd.com and click on Download Center. Then choose the Click Here to Download TEAM MANAGER 4.0 Update link or Click Here to Download MEET MANAGER 2.0 Update. A screen similar to the one shown below (for Team Manager) will be displayed.

TM Update Screen

Choose "Save" and then choose where you want to store the SWTM4Update.zip (for TM) or the SwimMM2Update.zip (for MM) file on your computer. DO NOT unzip the file yourself - the Hy-Tek software will do that for you.

After the SWTM4Update.zip or SwimMM2Update.zip file has been downloaded and saved, now start TM 4.0 or MM 2.0 and click on File / Install Update and the Hy-Tek software (TM is shown) will display a screen similar to the one below.

TMUpdate2Screen

Choose "No" and then TM/MM will ask you where you saved the file (SWTM4Update.zip or SwimMM2Update.zip) file. Pick the directory that you specified when the file was downloaded and then the Hy-Tek software will install the update. Re-start TM 4.0 or MM 2.0 with the new release.

Hy-Tek Installation Problems, Solutions and Tips

Problem: cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx could not be registered. This error message can occur when installing or running a Hy-Tek program. .
Cause: This problem is due to the recent XP Support Pack 2 and Windows 2003 updates that caused cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx to be outdated.
Solution: Click here to download a utility program named Hy-TekWindowsXPSP2Fix.exe. Save it to your Desktop and after it is downloaded, double click it from the Desktop and the utility will update both cstext32.ocx and cscmd32.ocx. After the files are updated, install your Hy-Tek installation CD again. In some cases, you will not need to install the CD again.
Notes: The utility only needs to be installed once and it will apply to all Hy-Tek products.
Applies To: Swimming MM, TM

Problem: 16 bit windows subsystem C:/WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT error. This error message can occur when installing a Hy-Tek program.
Cause: Your XP system is missing the autoexec.nt file that belongs in the C:/WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory.
Solution: Click here to download a self extracting exe named autoexecReplace.exe. Save it to your Desktop and after it is downloaded, double click it from the Desktop and it will default to extracting one file named autoexec.nt and placing it in C:\Windows\System32. After it is copied to System32,  install your Hy-Tek CD again without restarting the computer.
Notes: On some computers, the autoexec.nt file may be erased automatically by your computer. It has no impact on running the Hy-Tek programs, but is required for installation or re-installation of Hy-Tek CD's.
Applies To: Swimming MM, TM.

Problem: Permission Denied error. This error message can occur when installing a Hy-Tek update.
Cause: One or more files were in use when the update tried to replace them with new copies.
Solution: Assuming you have your Hy-Tek Installation CD and do not have your database files in the C:\Hy-Sport folder, delete the files and folders in C:\Hy-Sport\Win-MM if Swim MM, in C:\Hy-Sport\TM4 if Swim TM4. Then install with your CD, start the program leaving the CD in the drive and then install the latest update from our web site.
Applies To: Swimming MM, TM.
