Directions to Lake Monticello (LMST)
From North of Charlottesville
From South of Charlottesville
From Charlottesville or West of Charlottesville via Rt. 250 East
From Charlottesville or West of Charlottesville via Interstate 64 East
From North of Charlottesville follow Route 29 South to the Route 250 East Bypass (to Richmond). Follow Rt. 250 East past Shadwell. Go over a bridge and turn right onto Rt. 729 (North Milton Rd). Follow this for 3.3 miles and turn left onto Route 53. Continue on Route 53 for 4.7 miles and turn left onto Route 618 at the Lake Monticello sign. Go another 2. miles and turn right into the main gate at Lake Monticello. Stop at the guard house (if needed), and stay straight on Ashlawn Blvd. until it ends. The main office clubhouse and parking is on the left. The pool is behind and to the left of the clubhouse.
From South of Charlottesville follow Interstate 64 East and turn right at Exit 121A for Rt. 20 South. At the end of the ramp, merge into Route 20, and get into left lane. Turn left onto Route 53 (signs to Monticello). Continue on Route 53 for 10.6 miles and turn left onto Route 618 at the Lake Monticello sign. Go another 2.9 miles and turn right into the main gate at Lake Monticello. Stop at the guard house (if needed), and stay straight on Ashlawn Blvd. until it ends. The main office clubhouse and parking is on the left. The pool is behind and to the left of the clubhouse.
